How to edit a PDF online for free

Change text, add images and download your PDF in minutes — free, in your browser, with no sign-up needed.

Open the free PDF Editor
01

Open your PDF

Go to easyedit.live, open the tools menu and choose PDF Editor. Tap Upload and pick your PDF from your phone, tablet or computer. The file is opened in your browser, so your document is not uploaded to a server for editing.

02

Change the text

Double-click or tap any line of text to edit it. The editor tries to use the same font, size and colour as the original, and you can pick a different font if needed. Press Done to confirm each change.

03

Add images, symbols or white-out

Use the tools menu (the star on phones) to add pictures, signatures, tick marks and other symbols, or cover old content with a box that matches the page background. Drag to move and use the plus and minus buttons to resize.

04

Download or share

Tap Download PDF to save your edited file with its original name, or use Share to send it directly. Text you typed stays selectable in the downloaded PDF.

05

Is it really free?

Yes. The PDF Editor, Convert Image and Convert Doc tools are completely free with no watermark. Only the AI tools (Edit Anything, Image Text and Old Photo) use credits.

02

How to edit a scanned PDF online

Scanned PDFs are pictures of pages, so normal editors can't change their text. Here is how easyedit.live does it.

Edit your scanned PDF
01

Why scanned PDFs are hard to edit

A scan is a photo of paper. There is no real text inside the file — only pixels — so typing over it usually looks wrong or doesn't work at all.

02

Use Edit Anything for natural-looking changes

Open Edit Anything, upload the scanned PDF, tap the area you want to change and type what you want, for example: change "Santhu" to "Sanjay". The AI rewrites that spot to match the original handwriting style, print, paper colour and table lines.

You can request many changes at once by separating them with commas — it still counts as one edit.

03

Copyable text in the result

When you download, easyedit.live adds invisible recognised text over each page, so you can search and copy words from the scan while it looks exactly the same.

04

Free option

For simple changes, the free PDF Editor can cover old text with a background-matched box and place new text on top.

03

How to edit text in an image

Replace words in a photo, poster, screenshot or ID-style image so the new text matches the original font and colour.

Try Image Text
01

Upload your picture

Open Image Text and upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC image. Tap the words you want to change to mark them.

02

Describe the change

Type something like: change "SALE 20%" to "SALE 50%". For several changes, separate them with commas. The AI keeps the font style, size, colour, shadow and background.

03

Check and download

Compare before and after, then save the image to your device or share it. On iPhone, use Share then Save Image to put it in Photos.

04

Use it responsibly

Only edit images you have the right to change. Forged documents and misleading IDs are not allowed.

04

How to restore old photos online

Fix scratches, fading, blur and torn corners on old family photos, colourise black-and-white pictures, and clean old text into fresh new text.

Restore a photo
01

Scan or photograph the print

Take a straight, well-lit photo of the print without glare, or use a scanner. Then open Old Photo and upload it.

02

Tell the AI what to fix

Try: remove scratches and dust, sharpen faces, restore faded colours. Or: colourise this black-and-white photo naturally. Combine requests with commas.

03

Clean old text into new text

Old letters, certificates and documents often have faded, smudged or broken text. Ask the AI to clean the old text into clear new text, or turn the text in an old image into a fresh new photo of it.

To keep the look consistent, ask it to match the full text style — the same font, size, colour and alignment — so the cleaned text blends in and looks the same as the original.

04

Save the result

Compare with the original, then download or share the restored photo. Keep your original file as a backup.
